An Akron man has been sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for leading a drug trafficking organization that distributed methamphetamine, fentanyl, and other illegal drugs throughout Northeast Ohio. Terrance D.N. McCormick, also known as TNasty, age 41, received the sentence from U.S. District Judge Donald C. Nugent after pleading guilty in May to several charges.
The charges included conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition due to previous convictions—including aggravated burglary (2003), domestic violence (2009 and 2013), and aggravated trafficking in drugs (2018)—and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.
McCormick will also serve five years of supervised release following his imprisonment. He was ordered to forfeit $8,560 in cash, a Rolex watch, a Chevrolet Corvette, and all firearms seized by federal agents.
Court documents show that McCormick led an Akron-area group dealing methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine during 2023-2024. He admitted working with co-conspirators to supply these substances across Northeast Ohio. The organization used homes and commercial buildings in Akron as locations for storing and distributing drugs. Members reportedly possessed firearms both for their operations and for protecting their drug inventory.
During searches at McCormick’s residences in 2023 and 2024 conducted under federal warrants, investigators recovered quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, as well as three loaded firearms.
