Ashland County Sheriff Kurt J. Schneider announced on April 27 that a ceremony honoring the county’s fallen law enforcement officers will take place on Tuesday, May 12 at 6:00 p.m. The event is scheduled to be held at Calvary Baptist Church, located at 210 Davis Road in Ashland, Ohio.

The annual gathering provides an opportunity for the community and local law enforcement agencies to remember and honor those who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The event is open to guests, and refreshments will be served immediately following the service.

“You are cordially invited to join Law Enforcement Officers in honoring Ashland County’s Fallen Law Enforcement Officers,” Schneider said in his announcement.

The ceremony aims to bring together residents and officers in recognition of the sacrifices made by members of local law enforcement. Attendees are encouraged to participate as a show of support for both current officers and the families of those who have passed away.

This event continues a tradition within Ashland County of paying tribute each year to its fallen officers.
