Avient Corporation announced on April 21 that it will present a range of technology solutions focused on sustainability, healthcare, and high-frequency electronics at CHINAPLAS 2026 in Shanghai. The company said its offerings are designed to help manufacturers address evolving regulations and performance demands across several industries.
This development is important as manufacturers in China face increasing requirements related to recycled content in packaging, stricter chemical regulations such as those concerning per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), higher standards for healthcare devices, and the need for advanced materials in miniaturized electronics.
Avient plans to showcase its rPET technologies for packaging that include material selection, color management, and processing optimization. Among these is the ColorMatrix OXB Oxygen Scavenger solution intended to extend shelf life while enabling higher recycled PET content. The company will also demonstrate non-PFAS process aids and mold-release additives developed without intentionally added PFAS. These alternatives are part of Avient’s Cesa and Hiformer technologies for polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) extrusion, along with Colorant Chromatics Evoluscend additive for high-temperature polymers.
For the healthcare sector, Avient will highlight Mevopur Healthcare Colorants and Formulations as well as Mevopur Healthcare Functional Additives. These products are manufactured across ISO 13485-certified facilities worldwide to meet regulatory protocols such as USP Class VI and ISO 10993. Liquid colorants under the Mevopur and Hiformer brands have been developed specifically for compatibility with liquid silicone rubber (LSR) applications. Additionally, engineered thermoplastics like Trilliant HC and LubriOne support drug-delivery devices by offering impact resistance, wear resistance, custom color matching, grip enhancement, friction control, and assistance throughout product development stages.
In response to trends in telecommunications toward smaller form factors with reliable signal integrity—especially in global satellite positioning systems—Avient will display PREPERM Low Loss Dielectric Thermoplastics engineered for stable electrical performance with ultra-low transmission loss. Complēt Long Fiber Reinforced Structural Thermoplastics will also be presented as lightweight alternatives suitable for metal replacement applications.
According to the official website of Avient Corporation the company advances sustainability through recyclable and bio-based materials while delivering specialized solutions across sectors including packaging, transportation, consumer goods, and operates worldwide with manufacturing centers. Avient specializes in polymer materials designed for enhanced product performance, with headquarters based in Avon Lake, Ohio.
The company’s commercial teams will be available during CHINAPLAS at Hall 2.2 Stand 2.2J68 to discuss application needs across all highlighted markets.
