The Bowling Green State University baseball team defeated the Dayton Flyers by a score of 9-5 on March 10, marking their second win in the last three games. The Falcons overcame an early deficit after Dayton took a 3-0 lead in the first inning, tying the game at 4-4 by the sixth and pulling ahead with a four-run seventh inning.

This victory is significant as it demonstrates Bowling Green’s resilience and ability to rally from behind, with all nine players in the starting lineup reaching base at least once. Eight of those players recorded hits and walks, contributing to a total of 12 hits for the team.

Key moments included Anthony Mitta’s two-RBI triple in the third inning and Pauly Mancino’s two-run home run in the seventh, which extended his on-base streak to eleven games and marked his first home run as a Falcon. CJ Boudreaux earned his first win of the season by pitching 1.1 innings of scoreless relief during a critical situation in the sixth inning. Kade Arn closed out the ninth with two strikeouts.

Other notable performances came from Brayden Curlis, who went three-for-four with two RBIs and one run scored, and Lance Vickers, who collected his first hit as a Falcon along with two runs and an RBI. Griffin Scheiderer made his first start at shortstop, recording both his first collegiate RBI and stolen base.

Bowling Green will return to conference play next weekend with a three-game series against Miami (OH), beginning Friday, March 13. Any schedule changes will be announced on BGSUFalcons.com or via social media channels.
