The Bowling Green State University baseball team concluded its weekend series against Miami (OH) on March 15, with the RedHawks securing a 13-7 victory. The game, played in Oxford, Ohio, featured a combined total of 20 runs as both teams exchanged leads throughout the contest.

This matchup was significant as it marked the end of Bowling Green’s road trip to start the season. The Falcons will now return home for their next five games, beginning with a home opener against Findlay scheduled for March 17 at 3 p.m.

Miami (OH) took an early lead in the first inning, but Bowling Green responded in the third when Carter Mottice doubled and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Brayden Curlis. The RedHawks regained momentum with a two-run homer in the bottom of the third and continued to answer each Falcon rally. In the sixth inning, Andrew DiLodovico hit his first collegiate home run, followed by another two-run homer from Curlis that briefly put Bowling Green ahead. However, Miami reclaimed control in their half of the sixth and added insurance runs late in the game.

Several Falcons had notable performances: Curlis went 1-for-3 with a home run and three runs batted in; Mottice extended his hitting streak to four games; DiLodovico notched his first career home run and maintained at least one hit per game during the series; Sam Seidel stole his 44th career base, tying him for eighth all-time in program history; and Vinny Salvione extended his hitting streak to nine games.

Looking ahead, Bowling Green will begin its home schedule on March 17 against Findlay. Any updates or changes to the schedule will be posted on BGSUFalcons.com and shared via social media channels including Twitter/X (@BGSU_Baseball), Instagram (‘bgfalcons’, ‘bgsu_baseball’), Facebook (‘BGSU Athletics’), and YouTube (‘Falcons Athletics’).
