Bowling Green State University’s men’s basketball team is set to face Ball State University at the Stroh Center on Tuesday, February 3. The game, scheduled for a 7 p.m. start, will mark Faith and Family Night at the arena. Fans can watch the game via ESPN+ or listen to Todd Walker’s radio broadcast on WFRO Eagle 99.

This matchup represents the only regular season meeting between Bowling Green and Ball State this year. Both teams are positioned next to each other in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) standings, with Bowling Green holding a 4-6 record in conference play, just ahead of Ball State at 3-6. Historically, Bowling Green leads the all-time series 56-42 and has been successful when hosting Ball State, winning 34 out of 48 home games against them.

A win for Bowling Green would give the Falcons their eighth home victory of the season for a third consecutive year and bring Head Coach Simon closer to his 50th win at BGSU. It would also snap a three-game losing streak and push the program closer to its milestone of 1,500 all-time wins.

Tuesday’s game features special accommodations as part of ongoing venue changes. A clear bag policy remains in effect at BGSU venues, including Stroh Center; media members must use only designated entrances under this mandate.

For fans with limited mobility attending home basketball games during the 2025-26 season, additional parking spaces have been added on the north side of Lot 24 adjacent to the grass area. These spaces are paid parking and clearly marked with signage. Fans using these spots should enter through the Student Entrance and may access arena seating via a service elevator.

On the court, senior Javontae Campbell is nearing significant scoring achievements in his collegiate career: he needs just 28 points to reach a total of 2,000 across all levels played and is also close to joining Bowling Green’s list of players with more than 1,000 points scored in school history.

Ball State arrives at Bowling Green with an overall record of 7-14 (3-6 MAC). After starting conference play with five losses, they won three straight before falling recently to Toledo. Junior guard Armoni Zeigler leads Ball State in points (13.2), rebounds (5.1), and assists (2.8) per game.

In last season’s meetings between these teams, Campbell led Bowling Green with strong performances against Ball State—including a standout game with 26 points—and has averaged nearly twenty points per contest versus them.

Bowling Green ranks among national leaders in fast break points this season—averaging almost nineteen per game—which places them atop the MAC and sixth nationally behind programs such as Georgia and Arkansas.

Bench player Josiah Shackelford has provided consistent production recently by averaging twelve points over his last five appearances while contributing notable rebounding numbers as well.

Troy Glover II continues to be an important contributor on offensive rebounds for Bowling Green; his recent performances have moved him up conference leaderboards in that category during MAC play.
