The Bowling Green State University men’s cross country team concluded its season at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in Evansville, Indiana, on Friday. The team finished 30th in the event.
Rachel Rhynard, associate head cross country and assistant track coach, commented on the team’s performance. “Today tested us, as championship races should,” said Rhynard. “We’re going to keep showing up and putting in the work. If we stay consistent and keep taking steps forward, the progress will come.”
Micah Bentley was the top finisher for Bowling Green State University (BGSU), completing the 10K course in 33:40.74 and placing 156th overall. Luke Lesseuer followed with a personal best time of 33:58.21, finishing 168th.
Other BGSU runners included Owen Zuameyer (182nd, 34:22.38), Luke Woolard (202nd, 35:11.24), Bryce Weber (206th, 35:43.94), Isaak Rubley (208th, 36:15.66), and Wyatt Ulbricht (209th, 36:18.27).
The event brought together top collegiate teams from across the region for one of the final competitions of the fall season.
