Bowling Green men’s cross country places tenth at MAC Championships

The Bowling Green State University men’s cross country team finished 10th at the 2025 Mid-American Conference Championships, which took place at the Audubon Cross Country Course in Amherst, New York.

Micah Bentley was the top finisher for Bowling Green, placing 47th with a time of 25:53.6. Luke Lesseuer followed closely behind in 49th place, achieving a personal-best time of 25:54.3. Owen Zaumery also set a personal record, finishing 51st with a time of 25:58.0.

Other team members included Luke Woolard, who finished 60th in 26:24.5; Ashton Boyd, who achieved a personal best and placed 74th with a time of 26:48.4; Bryce Weber, who came in 75th at 26:49.1; Wyatt Ulbricht, setting his own personal best at 26:57.2 to finish 77th; and Isaak Rubley, who rounded out the lineup by finishing 84th in 27:56.8.

Associate head cross country and assistant track coach Rachel Rhynard commented on the team’s performance by saying, “This was a tough day, but it’s an important step for a young group. Every race teaches us something, and we’ll use this experience to grow and be ready for what’s ahead. Internally, we know how hard we’ve been working, and that effort will pay off as we continue to build.”

The Falcons are scheduled to compete next at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional on Friday, November 14 at the Angel Mounds Cross Country Course in Evansville, Indiana.
