The Bowling Green State University men’s golf team is set to compete in the Moraine Intercollegiate, held at Moraine Country Club in Kettering, Ohio on October 13 and 14. The event is hosted by Miami University (OH) and will be played on a par-71 course measuring 6,916 yards.
Two new members of the Falcons squad, Angelo Luciani and Pedro Garcia, have made notable contributions during the fall season. Luciani, who is from Byron Center, Michigan, tied for 20th place at last week’s Tom Tontimonia Invitational after shooting a total score of 217 (+4). Garcia finished close behind with a score of 218 at the same tournament.
The field for this year’s Moraine Intercollegiate includes teams from VCU, Dayton, Illinois, Michigan, Xavier, Missouri, Miami (OH), Iowa, Ohio State, Rhode Island, Wright State, Connecticut, Penn State and Bowling Green.
Tournament play begins with two rounds on Monday starting at 8:45 am with a shotgun start. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday. Live scoring for the event will be available online.
