The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the recipients of the 2024-25 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court. These awards highlight academic achievements by men’s college basketball teams and individual players. This year, Bowling Green State University (BGSU) received the Team Academic Excellence Award, with six players named to the Honors Court.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards honor programs that achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2024-25 academic year. The NABC Honors Court recognizes junior, senior, and graduate student-athletes who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher throughout the same period.

Bowling Green is among seven programs from the Mid-American Conference (MAC) to receive this recognition. BGSU’s honored players include Javontae Campbell, Wilguens Jr. Exacte, DaJion Humphrey, Mohamed Maxamud, Greg Spurgin, and Preston Squire. In total, 34 student-athletes from MAC were named to the Honors Court.

Under head coach Todd Simon’s leadership at BGSU, the Falcons have consistently received the Team Academic Excellence Award each season and have had at least three players named to the Honors Court annually.
