The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) women’s golf team will host the Dolores Black Invitational from April 11-12 at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio, according to an April 2 announcement. This event is the team’s final tournament before the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships.

The invitational offers a variety of activities for participants and spectators. Practice rounds are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 10, followed by a free Kids Clinic hosted by the men’s team at 4:30 p.m., and a parent question-and-answer session.

Round one of the tournament will start with a shotgun round at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 11. The final round is set for Sunday, April 12, beginning at 10 a.m. Spectators can enjoy complimentary chocolate and coffee near the clubhouse from 8 to 11 a.m., as well as food trucks and bounce houses along the course. A Fiesta on Five event with tacos and fan activities will take place near the fifth hole.

Children attending can participate in several events including a Long Drive Contest from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., located in front of public parking, and access to chip-and-putt areas near Hole One with clubs provided for all youth events. Spectator golf carts will also be available for rent throughout the tournament.

BGSU will compete alongside Central Michigan—the only other MAC representative—along with Detroit Mercy, Loyola, Niagara, Dayton, Xavier, Wisconsin-Green Bay and Northern Kentucky in this year’s field.

Following this invitational, BGSU’s next competition is scheduled for April 26-28 at Firestone Golf Club in Akron during the MAC Championship.
