Bowling Green State University announced on March 24 that its baseball team will add a home game to this year’s schedule, hosting Lourdes University on Wednesday, April 8. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Steller Field and admission will be free.
This matchup will mark the first and only meeting between Bowling Green and Lourdes, as Lourdes University has announced it will close at the end of the academic year. The Falcons’ new addition comes in the middle of a busy stretch for both teams.
The Falcons are set to play Ohio State in Columbus on Tuesday, April 7, before returning home for the newly added contest against Lourdes. After facing Lourdes, Bowling Green will host Central Michigan for a three-game weekend series. Meanwhile, the Gray Wolves from Lourdes are coming off a four-game homestand against UNOH and currently have an overall record of nine wins and thirteen losses, with seven wins and nine losses on the road.
In preparation for these upcoming games, Bowling Green’s focus remains on their immediate schedule. They are set to play Tiffin later today at Steller Field with a start time of 4 p.m., followed by another home game tomorrow against Findlay at 6 p.m., which was rescheduled from its original date due to weather concerns.
Fans can follow updates about the Falcons’ baseball team through their official social media channels including Twitter (@BGSU_Athletics and @BGSU_Baseball), Instagram (‘bgfalcons’ and ‘bgsu_baseball’), Facebook (‘BGSU Athletics’), and YouTube (‘Falcons Athletics’).
With these additions to their schedule, Bowling Green continues to provide opportunities for fans to support their team during an active spring season.
