The Bowling Green State University baseball team will play its first home games of the 2026 season at Steller Field, hosting the Ohio Bobcats in a three-game series starting Friday, March 20. The series marks the debut of the newly renovated field, which features new turf, fencing, and lights. A pre-game celebration and ribbon cutting for the facility upgrades is scheduled for Saturday, March 21.

This home stand is significant as it follows a stretch of 17 consecutive road games to start the season for Bowling Green. The Falcons will now play five straight games at Steller Field and 13 of their next 17 at home. Over the past two seasons, Bowling Green has achieved a combined home record of 29-11, their best two-year performance since 2001-02.

The Ohio Bobcats enter the series with a record of 3-18 overall and are currently on a seven-game losing streak. In contrast, Bowling Green swept Ohio last year in Athens and took two out of three when they last met in Bowling Green during the 2024 season.

Among notable updates to Steller Field is a padded wall around the playing surface with graphics designed by BGSU senior infielder Sam Seidel. The Falcons’ pitching staff has also shown strong performance this year, averaging 8.5 strikeouts per game and projecting to break their single-season strikeout record for a third consecutive year.

Saturday’s events will include remarks and a ceremonial first pitch from Paul Hooker before game time. Fans are encouraged to follow schedule updates through BGSUFalcons.com or social media channels.
