The Bowling Green State University men’s golf team began competition at the Bluegrass Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky, on April 12-13. The tournament is hosted by the University of Kentucky and takes place at the University Club of Kentucky.

This event is significant as it brings together BGSU and 16 other collegiate teams, offering an opportunity for players to compete ahead of their final tournament before conference championships.

The Falcons’ lineup for this week includes Pedro Garcia, Andrew Lee, Angelo Luciani, Charlie Pettrone, and LT Harris. Live statistics and results from the tournament are available on BGSUFalcons.com.

BGSU joins a field that features SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee Tech, Murray State, Northern Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, Belmont, UT Martin, Marquette, Central Michigan, Purdue Fort Wayne, West Georgia, Morehead State and Valparaiso. The team previously finished as runner-up at the Sweetens Cove Invitational hosted by Miami University (Ohio), where Angelo Luciani and Andrew Lee each went undefeated in individual matches with a record of 3-0-0. Pedro Garcia finished his matches with a record of 2-1. During that event the Falcons defeated both Belmont and Seton Hall University in match play.

Looking ahead after this week’s competition in Lexington, BGSU will participate in its final regular season tournament at the Muirfield Shootout hosted by Miami University (Ohio) on April 19 at the Country Club of Muirfield before heading into the Mid-American Conference Championships.
