The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team will host Coastal Carolina University on Saturday, February 7, for its annual Play4Kay Game. The event, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, will take place at the Stroh Center with tipoff scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Play4Kay is an initiative that brings together players, coaches, officials, and fans to honor and support individuals affected by cancer. The game aims to recognize cancer warriors, survivors, and those continuing their fight.

Bowling Green State University Athletics announced that female cancer warriors, survivors, family members, and medical personnel are eligible for free admission to the game. Those interested can register for tickets online at https://tinyurl.com/mr2pddy9.

Fans have opportunities to contribute to breast cancer research through several activities during the event. An online auction will be held featuring items such as Coach Chmiel’s custom pink shoes and Play4Kay shooting shirts worn during warmups. There is also a chance for participants to “Pie a Coach” after the game. The auction closes at halftime on February 7 and more information is available at https://tinyurl.com/3txxympc.

Supporters may also pledge donations based on the number of points BGSU scores during the February 7 game or make one-time donations throughout February. Donations can be made via https://tinyurl.com/3rjpvfy6 by selecting BGSU Falcons WBB as the fundraiser recipient in order to help reach a $5,000 campaign goal.

The university encourages fans to attend wearing pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
