The Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team will face Coastal Carolina University on Saturday, February 7, as part of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge. The game is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the Stroh Center in Bowling Green, Ohio. This matchup marks BGSU’s final non-conference game of the regular season.
Saturday’s contest is designated as the Falcons’ Pink/Play4Kay Game, supporting those impacted by cancer. Individuals affected by cancer are eligible for complimentary tickets to the event through a dedicated link. Fans also have opportunities to participate in fundraising activities such as bidding on team memorabilia and experiences.
The game will be available for streaming via ESPN+, with audio provided by Falcon Media Sports. Live statistics and additional information can be accessed on BGSUFalcons.com.
A clear bag policy has been implemented at all BGSU athletic venues since January 1, 2026. Media personnel are required to use a specific entrance under this mandate.
To improve accessibility, more parking spaces for guests with limited mobility have been added on the north side of Lot 24 near the Stroh Center. These designated spots remain paid parking and provide easier access via the Student Entrance and service elevator.
BGSU enters this weekend’s game holding an overall record of 11-11 (4-7 MAC) and maintains a positive history in MAC-Sun Belt Challenge matchups, having won three consecutive games against Sun Belt opponents prior to Saturday’s contest.
Junior Paige Kohler recently reached her 1,000th career point milestone at BGSU and currently ranks 29th in program history with 1,069 points entering Saturday’s game. Kohler scored 15 points in the fourth quarter during Wednesday night’s loss at Kent State—a performance that ties her for fifth-most points in a single quarter in school history.
Sophomore Johnea Donahue has emerged as one of the conference leaders defensively and offensively this season. After missing two games due to injury, she returned to post multiple double-doubles and earned MAC Player of the Week honors twice so far this year. Donahue leads both BGSU and the Mid-American Conference with an average of four steals per game—a figure that also ranks among national leaders—and has accumulated a league-best total of 80 steals through early February.
At home this season, Bowling Green holds a record of 7-3 at Stroh Center following last year’s strong home mark (11-2).
Coastal Carolina enters with an overall record of 11-13 (4-8 Sun Belt), seeking to end a two-game losing streak after falling narrowly at Arkansas State earlier this week. Kristin Williams and Tessa Grady lead CCU offensively with averages of 13.7 points per game each; both rank high nationally in three-pointers made per game.
The only previous meeting between these programs took place on November 23, 2018, when Coastal Carolina edged out Bowling Green by one point.
After facing Coastal Carolina, Bowling Green returns to conference play against Buffalo on Tuesday night before traveling to Ball State later next week.
