The Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Women’s Golf team is participating in the West Texas Classic, a two-day tournament hosted by Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. The event, held from March 2 to 3, features BGSU competing against 16 other universities.

The Falcons’ starting lineup includes Addison Kartusch, Macie Elzinga, Sammie Dolce, McKenzie Miller and Ava O’Sullivan. Audrey McIntyre will compete as an individual for BGSU.

Among the field of competitors are teams such as Texas Tech, Texas Southern, Drake, Lamar, Utah Valley and South Dakota State. Toledo University is the only other Mid-American Conference (MAC) school present at the tournament.

In their previous outing at the Rio Verde Invitational, BGSU tied for third place overall. Three Falcon athletes finished within the top 20: Addison Kartusch placed third overall; Macie Elzinga tied for fourth; and Sammie Dolce tied for 16th place. The team also outperformed all five other MAC schools at that event.

Addison Kartusch was recognized as MAC Golfer of the Week following her performance at Rio Verde.

After completing play in Abilene, BGSU will next compete at the Georgia State Invitational in Johns Creek, Georgia on March 30-31.
