Bowling Green State University’s women’s basketball team achieved a decisive 74-46 victory over Le Moyne College on Tuesday at the Stroh Center. The Falcons, now with a 7-4 record, have extended their winning streak to six games.

Paige Kohler led Bowling Green with 17 points. Kaia Woods and Jasmine Fearne contributed 11 points each, while eight Falcons scored at least five points in the game. Woods also had five rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and a blocked shot. Kohler, Fearne, and Emily Siesel each made three three-pointers; Siesel matched her career high with nine points.

Le Moyne College, coached by former Bowling Green assistant Nick DiPillo, saw Ashley Buragas lead the Dolphins with 13 points and eight rebounds. The Dolphins held a brief lead early in the game but were unable to keep pace after the first quarter and a half.

The game remained close through much of the second quarter until Joniyah Bland-Fitzpatrick started a run for Bowling Green with an “and-one” layup following a defensive rebound from Woods. This play began a 12-0 stretch for Bowling Green to end the first half, giving them a comfortable lead at halftime.

Bowling Green continued their momentum into the third quarter. Woods opened scoring with a layup before assisting Kohler on another three-pointer that pushed their run to 17 unanswered points. From that point forward, Le Moyne was unable to reduce the deficit below 20 points.

A crowd of 2,656 attended the “School Day” event at Stroh Center.

Looking ahead, Bowling Green will conclude its six-game homestand against Kent State on Saturday for their Mid-American Conference opener. Afterward, they will break for the holidays before facing Eastern Michigan in Ypsilanti on December 30.
