The Bowling Green State University women’s golf team is set to participate in the Powercat Invitational at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, on October 20 and 21. This event marks the final tournament of the Falcons’ fall season.

The team returns to competition after finishing fifth at the Diane Thomason Invitational hosted by the University of Iowa. For this week’s tournament, BGSU will field Addison Kartusch, Macie Elzinga, Clare Yeazell, Sammie Dolce, and Ava O’Sullivan.

At last year’s Powercat Invitational, Bowling Green also finished fifth with a team score of 912. Ava O’Sullivan placed seventh individually at +5 over par, while Macie Elzinga finished 18th at +8 over par.

The tournament begins Monday at 9:15 a.m., with two rounds scheduled for that day and the final round on Tuesday. The event will take place at Colbert Hills Golf Course, which is a par-72 course measuring 6,446 yards.

Teams competing alongside Bowling Green include Cincinnati, Oakland, Lindenwood, Southern Illinois, Northern Colorado, Northern Kentucky, Bethune-Cookman, North Dakota State, Tarleton State, South Dakota, North Dakota, Bradley, Wichita State, Incarnate Word and host Kansas State.

This competition concludes Bowling Green’s fall schedule as they prepare for their Mid-American Conference slate in the spring. The Falcons have achieved top-five finishes in each tournament this fall and secured a win at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational in August.
