The Canal Winchester Municipal Swimming Pool will open to members only beginning Saturday, May 23, with access for all guests starting Monday, June 8. The pool’s last day of operation this season will be Sunday, August 16.
The municipal pool offers a place for residents and visitors to cool off during the summer months. This year introduces a new members-only senior citizen swim for those aged 60 and over, available Monday through Thursday from 10:45 to 11:45 AM between June 8 and August 12. The pool will close at 7:00 PM each day, with hours set from noon to 7:00 PM Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 4:00 PM on Sundays.
To use the facility, all visitors must be pre-registered and verified before entry. Registration or verification will not be completed at the pool itself; the process may take up to seventy-two hours. Those interested can complete online verification by uploading required documents through a secure digital platform but must also visit City Hall in person for a photo and pass issuance.
Open house sessions are scheduled at City Hall (45 E. Waterloo Street) on several dates in early May for those wishing to complete registration or ask questions about passes. Returning pass holders should bring expired passes for reactivation or request new ones if needed.
Pool rental is available for parties on designated Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the season with booking opportunities opening April 29 at nine o’clock in the morning. Full details about rental fees and times are provided on the city’s website.
