Charter Communications has announced its support for the Halting International Relocation of Employment Act, also known as the HIRE Act. The legislation was introduced by Senator Bernie Moreno, a Republican from Ohio. The act is intended to address concerns about companies moving jobs overseas in pursuit of increased profits.

In a statement, Charter Communications emphasized the importance of maintaining a workforce based entirely in the United States. “Our 100% US-based employee workforce is critical to our ability to deliver personalized customer service and high-quality products and services to our customers,” said Charter Communications. “We applaud Senator Moreno for introducing the HIRE Act which recognizes the value of a high quality, onshored workforce.”

The endorsement highlights ongoing debates over job relocation and labor practices among American corporations.
