Cornerstone of Hope, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting individuals and families dealing with trauma, grief, and loss, outlined its services and approach in an April 15 statement.

The organization says it is dedicated to ensuring that no grieving person is left alone by offering support groups, professional counseling, educational workshops, memorial events, and youth bereavement camps. Its mission is guided by Christian values but welcomes all who seek support.

“Guided by Christian values we welcome and serve all who seek support,” the organization said. It also highlighted compassion as a core value: “Accompanying those who experience loss during their journey from pain to purpose.” The team at Cornerstone of Hope describes its workplace as one where passion for the mission drives daily work: “Everyone here shows up because they care deeply about the families we serve, and you can feel that passion in everything we do.”

The nonprofit emphasized the importance of collaboration within Columbus’s business community. It values networking events and referrals facilitated through the Columbus Chamber of Commerce. “These connections help expand our reach, open doors for new partnerships, and ultimately allow us to support more individuals and families navigating grief in our community,” Cornerstone of Hope said.

Staying informed about trends in behavioral health is also a priority for Cornerstone of Hope. The organization maintains connections with both nonprofit networks and behavioral health professionals through events, training sessions, and ongoing conversations with other leaders. Listening to feedback from families served helps guide program development.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone of Hope plans to continue engaging with industry-specific gatherings through the Chamber while building systems that help its team thrive long-term. The group said it aims to balance compassion with accountability as it grows alongside Columbus’s collaborative spirit.
