A Cuyahoga County resident has received a 10-year federal prison sentence for his involvement in a drug trafficking operation that distributed fentanyl across Northeast Ohio. Andree L. Padgett, 35, of Euclid, Ohio, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Dan Aaron Polster after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, distribution of a controlled substance, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The sentencing took place on August 28, 2025.
Padgett’s charges stem from activities between June 27 and July 13, 2023. Court documents state that he and two other individuals participated in the sale of more than 300 grams of fentanyl throughout the region. During this period, Padgett also sold six firearms alongside the drugs.
Due to previous convictions for drug trafficking in 2016 and 2023, Padgett was identified as a career offender. In addition to his prison term, he will serve four years of supervised release following incarceration.
Co-defendants Ambray N. Underwood and Tashaun N. Bell previously received sentences of nine years and nearly four years in prison respectively for their roles in the same conspiracy.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) conducted the investigation into the case. Assistant United States Attorneys Brian S. Deckert and Matthew W. Shepherd prosecuted the matter for the Northern District of Ohio.
