The Falcons Nest Coaches Show, sponsored by Fricker’s, will be held remotely this week because of travel and weather issues. The program is scheduled for Monday, January 19, beginning at 6 p.m., and will feature Bowling Green State University head men’s basketball coach Todd Simon in conversation with Todd Walker, the Voice of the Falcons. At 6:30 p.m., Walker will speak with Tanner Barton, the head swimming and diving coach.

Fans can listen to the broadcast on local radio stations WFRO 99.1 FM, 100.7 FM in Toledo, 1280 WONW in Defiance, and 970 WFUN in Ashtabula. The show will also be available via streaming on BGSUFalcons.com and through “The Varsity Network” app provided by Learfield Sports.

The men’s basketball team recently secured a home victory over Eastern Michigan on Saturday, January 17. With a season record now standing at 12-6 overall and 3-3 in the Mid-American Conference (MAC), the Falcons are set for two consecutive road games. They will play Western Michigan on Tuesday, January 20 at 7 p.m., followed by a match against their rivals, the Toledo Rockets, on Saturday, January 24 at Savage Arena.

Meanwhile, the swimming and diving team has achieved its best start in program history with an opening run of twelve straight wins. Now holding a record of 12-3, they are preparing for the Butler Invitational taking place Sunday, January 25 in Fishers, Indiana. The Battle of I-75 against Toledo is also approaching; Bowling Green will host Toledo on January 30 at Cooper Pool before traveling to face them again on January 31. These events serve as final preparations ahead of the MAC Championships starting February 25 in Akron.

Upcoming episodes of the spring semester’s Coaches Show have been tentatively scheduled to include coaches from men’s basketball, hockey, women’s basketball, gymnastics, baseball, and softball.
