The Falcons Nest Coaches Show, presented by Fricker’s, will continue on Monday, November 17, with only three shows left for the remainder of 2025. The upcoming show will feature Fred Chmiel, head coach of the women’s basketball team, and Alex DelPiombo, head volleyball coach. Todd Walker, known as the “Voice of the Falcons,” will host the event from 6-7 p.m. at Bowling Green’s Fricker’s restaurant.
This season’s shows are held in a designated room at Fricker’s with a capacity limited to 55 people. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The event will not include autograph sessions to encourage more interaction between fans and coaches.
Fans have the option to submit questions online or interact with Todd Walker via Twitter at @FalconsVoice. Those unable to attend can listen locally on WFRO 99.1 FM, 100.7 FM in Toledo, 1280 WONW in Defiance and 970 WFUN in Ashtabula. Streaming is also available through BGSUFalcons.com and “The Varsity Network” app from Learfield Sports.
The women’s basketball team recently played away games against South Carolina (ranked No. 2), Wisconsin, and Marquette. The team will travel to Alaska this week for a game against UC Irvine on Friday, November 21 at 9:15 p.m. EST and then face either St. Thomas or Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday, November 22. Their home opener is scheduled for November 30 against Purdue Fort Wayne at 2 p.m., marking the start of a six-game homestand that continues through December 20.
Bowling Green’s volleyball team secured three consecutive wins and swept Buffalo over the weekend to earn a spot in the MAC Tournament. Bowling Green will host this year’s conference championship as the No. 6 seed and begin play against No. 3 Ohio on Friday, November 21 at 7 p.m.
Upcoming Falcons Nest Coaches Shows are scheduled for December with appearances by men’s basketball coach Todd Simon and swim & dive coach Tanner Barton (December 8), as well as men’s basketball coach Todd Simon again alongside ice hockey coach Dennis Williams (December 15). There are no shows scheduled for several Mondays due to men’s basketball road games.
“To ensure an enjoyable and timely experience for all fans, there will not be autograph opportunities — but this creates a more interactive, conversational atmosphere to connect with BGSU coaches and fans,” according to organizers.
