The Falcons Nest Coaches Show, presented by Fricker’s, will return on Monday night with three Bowling Green State University coaches as guests. The show is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. and will feature head men’s basketball coach Todd Simon, head baseball coach Kyle Hallock, and head softball coach Michelle Gardner. All interviews will take place in person at the Bowling Green Fricker’s restaurant.
This year’s show will be held in a special room at Fricker’s with a maximum capacity of 55 people. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Organizers have announced that there will not be autograph opportunities during the event to maintain an interactive and conversational atmosphere between coaches and fans.
Fans can submit questions online or interact with host Todd Walker on Twitter at @FalconsVoice. Those unable to attend can listen locally on WFRO 99.1 FM, 100.7 FM in Toledo, 1280 WONW in Defiance, and 970 WFUN in Ashtabula. The show will also be streamed through BGSUFalcons.com and “The Varsity Network” app from Learfield Sports.
The men’s basketball team is preparing for its final two home games of the regular season this week. They play Western Michigan on Tuesday for a Black Out event at the Stroh Center and then host UMass on Saturday for Senior Night.
The baseball team recently achieved its 1,800th all-time win by defeating Western Carolina last weekend, marking their first victory of the season. They are set to finish their non-conference weekend with a three-game series against Samford starting Friday but will play Cincinnati midweek before that.
Bowling Green’s softball team has started the season with an 8-2 record and has five games scheduled this weekend at the Make It Happen Games in Madeira Beach, Florida. Opponents include Illinois State, UIC, Albany, Colgate, and Bethune-Cookman.
Future editions of the Spring Semester Coaches Show are planned for March 2 featuring Dennis Williams (hockey), Fred Chmiel (women’s basketball), and Todd Simon (men’s basketball).
