FOIA Request to Cincinnati State Technical and Community College regarding Public University FY 2024 Employee Salaries on December 5, 2025.

A request for information has been made under the Ohio Open Records Law by Buckeye Reporter, a media organization dedicated to covering local governmental affairs. The request was sent to Cincinnati State Technical and Community College on December 5, 2025. The email seeks comprehensive records of employee compensation for all individuals employed by the university during Fiscal Year 2024.

The requested data includes several specific fields: fiscal year, employee name, gender (if recorded), age or year of birth (if not exempt), date of birth (if not exempt or limited to month/year), employer name, title or position, department, hire date, compensation amount (including base pay and any additional pay), compensation type (such as salary, hourly wage, stipend, or bonus), and employment type (full-time or part-time).

The request acknowledges that not all fields may be present in every record but asks for the production of all responsive records regardless. In cases where parts of a record are deemed exempt from disclosure, it requests that non-exempt portions be released in redacted form rather than withheld entirely.

Buckeye Reporter is seeking this information as part of its mission to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public. As a member of the media involved in news dissemination, they have requested a fee waiver for accessing these public records.

Additionally, the requestor is affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a non-profit organization assisting media companies and advocacy groups in investigating governmental agencies through Freedom of Information and Sunshine Laws. More information about this coalition can be found at https://stopsecrecy.org/about/.

Our team will continue to keep you updated as we gather and report news related to this request and other matters of public interest. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification regarding this matter.
