FOIA Request to Kent State University at Geauga regarding university board member information on October 22, 2025.

A public records request was submitted to Kent State University at Geauga seeking specific information about the members of the University’s governing board or board of trustees. The request, sent under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., asked for a current list of board members including their full names, titles or positions, and terms of service. Additionally, it requested any official headshots or photographs maintained by the University for use in publications or directories, as well as any official biographies or biographical summaries prepared by the University.

The request emphasized the importance of access to public records for media professionals in fulfilling their responsibilities to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency.
