FOIA Request to Sinclair Community College regarding Public University FY 2024 Employee Salaries on December 5, 2025.

A request for information has been submitted to Sinclair Community College under the Ohio Open Records Law, §149.43 et seq., by Buckeye Reporter. The request seeks comprehensive records of employee compensation for all individuals employed by the university during Fiscal Year 2024. This fiscal year is typically defined as spanning from September 2024 through July 2025, although adjustments are requested if the university operates under different fiscal-year boundaries.

The specific data fields requested include Fiscal Year, Employee Name, Gender (if recorded), Age or Year of Birth (if not exempt), Date of Birth (if not exempt or limited to month/year), Employer Name, Title or Position, Department, Hire Date, Compensation Amount (base pay and any additional pay), Compensation Type (e.g., salary, hourly, stipend, bonus), and Employment Type (full-time or part-time). The request acknowledges that not all fields may be present in every record but asks for all responsive records to be produced regardless.

In cases where portions of a record are deemed exempt from disclosure, Buckeye Reporter requests that non-exempt portions be released in redacted form rather than withheld entirely. As a media organization committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, Buckeye Reporter also seeks a fee waiver based on its role in gathering and disseminating news to the public.

The requestor is affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a non-profit organization dedicated to investigating governmental agencies and promoting transparency through Freedom of Information and Sunshine Laws. More information about this coalition can be found at this link.

Our team will continue to keep you updated as we gather and report news related to this request and other matters of public interest. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification regarding this matter.
