Four members of the Bowling Green State University women’s basketball team were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District Team, according to a March 24 announcement by College Sports Communicators.
The recognition highlights student-athletes who excel both on the court and in their academic pursuits. The honorees are Jasmine Fearne, Lauren Gerken, Paige Kohler, and Emily Siesel. Both Kohler and Siesel received this honor for the second consecutive year.
Fearne participated in 30 out of 31 games during the season, starting in 16. She averaged 4.7 points and 1.3 rebounds per game, led her team in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.43, and was third with 38 three-point field goals made. Academically, Fearne is a psychology major with a minor in coaching and holds a cumulative GPA of 3.73.
Gerken played all 31 games with 17 starts and was third on her team for both scoring (9.7 points per game) and rebounding (4.5 rebounds per game). She made the second-most three-point field goals on her team with a total of 53 and scored double digits in points during eighteen games this season. Gerken is majoring in middle childhood education with a perfect GPA of 4.00.
Kohler started every game this season, leading her team in scoring at an average of 14.9 points per game while also contributing as one of its top assist makers and defenders. She made a team-leading total of sixty-seven three-point field goals this year and achieved the program’s first triple-double performance ever recorded by Bowling Green State University women’s basketball player history. Kohler is also maintaining a perfect GPA while studying psychology with a minor in coaching.
Siesel appeared in all thirty-one games as well, making five starts during her senior campaign while averaging just over two points per contest along with contributions across several statistical categories including shooting percentage from beyond the arc (.328). She is majoring in psychology with double minors focused on child development as well as educational psychology—all while holding down another perfect GPA.
According to College Sports Communicators, Academic All-District honorees will be considered for advancement to the Academic All-America ballot next month when first-, second-, and third-team selections are announced separately for each collegiate division.
