Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) visited Wieland Randall in Lima, Ohio, where he met with company leadership and employees. During his visit, Husted toured the facility and discussed how his efforts on the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, as well as recent legislative measures like the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, are aimed at supporting manufacturers in Ohio.
“Ohio remains a national leader in manufacturing—it’s the engine that keeps our economy and our country moving forward. I appreciated the opportunity to be in Lima to see firsthand the innovative work being done at Wieland Randall and to meet the skilled Ohioans behind it. I’m committed to taking the feedback I hear from Ohio job creators back to the Senate to ensure Ohio’s continued leadership position in manufacturing on a global scale,” said Husted.
Wieland Randall produces cast bronze machined parts for industries such as aerospace, defense, agriculture, distribution, fluid power, heavy equipment, oil and gas, and transportation. The Lima facility is staffed by local workers and is part of a larger network of operations across North America and Europe.
Husted has visited more than 10 manufacturing facilities throughout Ohio this year as part of his advocacy for local businesses. He supported provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts Act designed to expand access to Pell Grants through Workforce Pell. This initiative aims to make short-term career training programs more affordable so that more students can obtain industry-recognized credentials needed for employment.
In his role in the Senate, Husted continues efforts focused on strengthening workforce development across Ohio.
