Sen. Jon Husted (R-Ohio) visited United Grinding North America in Miamisburg, Ohio, where he met with company leadership and partners to discuss the company’s growth and operations. During his visit, Husted toured the production floor, interacted with employees, and learned about United Grinding’s apprenticeship program conducted in partnership with Sinclair College.
United Grinding is a Swiss-based supplier of high-precision grinding machines and additive manufacturing solutions. The company’s North American headquarters are located in Miamisburg and serve manufacturers such as GE Aerospace.
Following his visit, Husted stated: “Ohioans continue to lead the way in a generational surge of American skilled workers and manufacturing growth. I was grateful to visit UG, learn about the outstanding manufacturing opportunities for Ohioans and see firsthand UG North America’s world-class Apprenticeship Program, in partnership with Sinclair, to train the next generation of American workers. You can’t do Made in America without Made in Ohio—and these hardworking Ohioans are a testament to that.”
In his role as senator, Husted has been focused on expanding access to affordable training and education programs for Americans entering the workforce. This year alone, he has visited 10 manufacturing facilities and 10 career technical schools across Ohio.
