Rep. Jim Jordan, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 4th district since 2007, recently shared his views on social media regarding various topics. Known for his conservative stance and vocal support of former President Donald Trump, Jordan has made several public statements addressing both national and sports-related issues.

On February 12, 2025, Rep. Jim Jordan expressed his condolences for the late Johnny Gaudreau, who was a prominent player for the Columbus Blue Jackets before his untimely death last year. In a tweet, he mentioned that Team USA Hockey is dedicating their play in an upcoming tournament to honor Gaudreau’s memory. He concluded with a blessing for the team: “Johnny Gaudreau was a great player for the Columbus Blue Jackets prior to his tragic death last year… God Bless them!”

Later that day, at 19:31 UTC, Rep. Jordan voiced his opinion on political representation in America. He emphasized that federal bureaucrats, partisan judges, and Dr. Fauci were not elected by the American people but rather President Trump was chosen to lead the nation. His tweet urged support for Trump’s efforts: “The American people didn’t elect: -Federal bureaucrats -Partisan judges -Dr. Fauci They elected President Trump! Let him work to make America a better place for everyone.”

In another statement made at 22:35 UTC on the same day, Rep. Jordan criticized government spending priorities abroad while highlighting domestic concerns such as border security and public safety under Trump’s administration: “Americans don’t want their tax dollars to pay for Bert and Ernie in Baghdad… President Trump is doing just that.”
