Karen Mohr of Union County has been appointed as the senior accounting assistant for Ohio Farm Bureau, according to an April 9 announcement. In this position, she will support county Farm Bureaus in northeast Ohio by assisting with recordkeeping, financial reporting, payroll and related projects.

The appointment is significant as it highlights the organization’s ongoing efforts to strengthen administrative support and enhance services for its members across the region.

Ohio Farm Bureau represents farmers throughout the state of Ohio, according to the official website. The organization operates under a 26-member board of trustees and maintains a longstanding partnership with Nationwide that began with its spin-off of the Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company in 1926, according to the official website.

In addition to supporting local farmers through benefits and programming, Ohio Farm Bureau advocates for agricultural policies at local, state and federal levels. The group also supports young farmer development through educational collaborations and recently placed a historical marker outside Jennings Hall at Ohio State University, according to the official website.

Mohr’s role is expected to contribute further stability and expertise in managing financial processes within county bureaus. As Ohio Farm Bureau continues its advocacy work and partnerships statewide, her appointment marks another step in strengthening operational capacity.
