Master Coach Marilou Butcher Roth shared her reflections on the unpredictability of life in a column published on Apr. 30. She described recent events that have affected people close to her, noting how quickly circumstances can shift from one day to the next.

Butcher Roth said these experiences highlight the importance of being present and appreciating each moment, even when it is difficult. “My point to all of this is for each of us to bring more awareness to each day, each minute, allowing ourselves to be as present as possible with ourselves and those we love. Bringing appreciation more intentionally into our lives, even if it can be challenging to find,” she said.

She encouraged readers to reflect on their own lives and consider where they might improve their sense of presence and gratitude. “Being able to feel a sense of ‘all rightness’ as we lay our heads on our pillows is a true gift that we can absolutely bring to ourselves, which then trickles out to others,” Butcher Roth said.

Ohio Realtors supports the real estate community through charitable efforts such as the Ohio REALTORS Foundation, which offers scholarships and assistance according to the official website. The organization represents over 40,000 real estate professionals and affiliates according to its official website, aiming to empower members by providing advocacy, education, resources, and support while upholding high ethical standards according to its official website.

The group operates under a board made up of elected leaders from within the real estate sector according to its official website, with operations spanning all 88 counties in Ohio through 30 local boards according to its official website. Ohio Realtors also advocates for policies that protect property rights and support homeownership at both state and federal levels according to its official website.

Butcher Roth concluded her message by urging readers: “Bring some thought to this idea and notice where you individually have room for improvement, because truly, you never know what is around the next corner!”
