Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) raised concerns to Waymo’s Chief Safety Officer, Dr. Mauricio Peña, regarding the company’s intentions to deploy Chinese-made autonomous vehicles (AVs) on U.S. roads. During a session in Washington, Senator Moreno also questioned whether Waymo intends to gather user data for targeted advertising purposes.
