Music in the Park series returns to Canal Winchester in May

The City of Canal Winchester announced on Apr. 16 that its annual Music in the Park series will return to Stradley Park, offering free entertainment for residents and visitors from May through September. The event is scheduled for the third Friday of each month and features themed evenings, live music, and activities for all ages.

The Music in the Park series is an important tradition that brings together community members and highlights local partnerships. The season opens on May 15 with Touch-A-Truck, where attendees can see public works and safety vehicles up close. Organizations participating include the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Township Fire Department, Madison Township Police, South Central Power, and others. Live music will be performed by the Poverty String Band Trio alongside games and hands-on activities.

Following events include Luau on the Lawn with Right on Main performing live music on June 19; a Cruise-In Car Show hosted by C-Town Cruisers featuring The Treble Catz on July 17; End of Summer Bash with BAD / STAD providing entertainment on August 21; and Fall Fest with Three10 closing out the season on September 18.

Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnics or purchase food from local food trucks or downtown restaurants. Alcoholic beverages can be bought from participating establishments within the Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), but outside alcohol is not allowed in Stradley Park.
