The National Federation of Independent Business announced on April 14 that its annual Small Business Day in Columbus will be held on May 12 and 13, 2026. The event will begin with the Ohio Small Business Day Legislative Reception at the Athletic Club of Columbus, where legislators and staff are expected to join for an evening of networking and policy discussions.

The following morning, May 13, NFIB will host Small Business Day at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel. The agenda includes a breakfast briefing featuring Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives Matt Huffman, Ohio Senate President Rob McColley, Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court Sharon Kennedy, as well as NFIB policy experts.

According to organizers, these events aim to connect small business owners with state leaders who influence policies affecting businesses across Ohio. Attendees will have opportunities to engage directly with decision-makers about issues important to their operations.

Those interested in participating or seeking information about registration and hotel accommodations are encouraged to contact Grassroots Manager Liz Roe.

By bringing together business owners and policymakers, NFIB said it hopes these gatherings foster ongoing dialogue about supporting small businesses throughout the state.
