Jared Weiser, the Ohio State Director for the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), has been appointed to the Ohio Public Benefits Advisory Board by Governor Mike DeWine. The board is responsible for advising on policies that ensure affordable energy services for low-income residents in Ohio.
Weiser joins a group of twenty other members who represent different sectors and industries across the state. Members are selected by the governor and serve three-year terms. The 21-member board provides recommendations to the Director of Development on current energy policy issues.
“It’s an honor to be appointed by Governor DeWine to represent Ohio’s small business community on the Public Benefits Advisory Board,” said Weiser. “Small business owners understand the importance of having affordable and reliable energy and are committed to supporting initiatives to help achieve that. I look forward to working with the Board to make sure Ohio’s energy policies work for everyone.”
The advisory board’s main goal is to ensure that energy policies benefit all Ohioans, particularly those from low-income backgrounds.
