Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost has announced plans to appeal a recent decision by the 10th District Court of Appeals in the case of Moe v. Yost. The court’s ruling, which allows certain medical procedures for minors, has prompted Yost to seek an immediate stay.

In his statement, Yost expressed strong opposition to the court’s decision. “This is a no brainer – we are appealing that decision and will seek an immediate stay,” he stated. He emphasized his commitment to protecting children from what he described as “irreversible chemical sex change procedures.”

Yost highlighted that Ohio’s legislation, aimed at protecting children from such procedures, was properly passed by elected representatives and upheld by the trial court. However, he criticized the appeals court for permitting these interventions on minors.

The Attorney General’s office remains firm in its stance against the ruling and is preparing for further legal action.
