A final Permit to Install and a final Permit to Operate have been granted to East Highland Farms LLC, as announced by the Ohio Department of Agriculture. This decision was made public on August 19, 2025, in compliance with OAC rule 901:10-6-01.

The permits are subject to appeal. Any notice of appeal, along with any necessary filing fee, must be submitted to the Environmental Review Appeals Commission (ERAC) at their Columbus office by 5:00 p.m. on September 8, 2025. Inquiries about the appeal process can be directed to ERAC.

Additionally, those filing an appeal must serve a copy to the director of agriculture within three days of submitting their appeal to ERAC.
