The Ohio Department of Agriculture has issued a final Permit to Install (PTI) and a final Permit to Operate (PTO) for R & F Family Farms LLC as of October 20, 2025. This decision follows the guidelines set by OAC rule 901:10-6-01. The permits allow the farm to proceed with its operations under state regulations.

The public is informed that these permits can be appealed. To initiate an appeal, a notice along with any required filing fee must be submitted to the Environmental Review Appeals Commission (ERAC) at their office located at 30 East Broad Street, 4th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215. The deadline for submitting an appeal is by 5:00 PM on November 19, 2025.

For those interested in the appeal process, questions can be directed to ERAC. Additionally, once an appeal is filed with ERAC, a copy must be served on the director of agriculture within three days.
