The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is inviting public comments on several upcoming projects aimed at improving road safety and infrastructure. One of the proposed projects involves the intersection of US Route 68 at Fairfield Pike, where a modern roundabout is planned to address the high rate of injury crashes. Construction for this project is anticipated to start in summer 2028.

Another project focuses on US 127 at State Route 119, where ODOT plans to construct a modern roundabout to reduce crash rates. To expedite construction, the intersection will be closed for approximately 60 days with signed detours provided. This project is expected to commence in spring 2027.

Additionally, the Montgomery County Engineer’s Office has proposed reconstructing Needmore Road in Harrison Township. The reconstruction will extend from the Dayton Towne Plaza Shopping Center to the Needmore Road Bridge over I-75 and includes installing sidewalks at the shopping plaza. This initiative aims to improve deteriorated pavement conditions and outdated traffic signals while enhancing pedestrian access. Construction is scheduled for spring 2029.

ODOT encourages public feedback on these projects by February 28, 2026. Comments can be submitted via phone or email to Tricia Bishop at 937-497-6721 or Tricia.Bishop@dot.ohio.gov. Public participation is welcomed without discrimination based on race, color, sex, age, national origin, or disability.

For more information about these projects, visit ODOT’s official website at https://www.transportation.ohio.gov/projects or check statewide construction updates at www.Ohgo.com.
