NFIB’s Ohio Leadership Council convened in Columbus for its first quarterly meeting of the year to discuss the current state of small businesses as the 2026 legislative session approaches. The meeting included a visit from Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who engaged with council members on issues facing small business owners in the state.

Jared Weiser, NFIB Ohio State Director, commented on the importance of such interactions. “Small business owners appreciate leaders who are willing to show up and engage in meaningful discussions about the small business climate and Ohio’s economic future,” Weiser said. “We are grateful to our members and Vivek Ramaswamy for a great conversation focused on solutions to continue improving the small business climate for Ohio’s small employers.”

During the gathering, NFIB acknowledged several longstanding members, highlighting milestones of 75, 30, and 20 years of membership within the organization.

The event also provided information for those interested in participating in future NFIB activities, directing them to contact Grassroots Manager Liz Roe for more details.
