The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has announced its endorsement of Senator Jon Husted for re-election to the United States Senate representing Ohio. The NFIB, which advocates for small businesses across the country, highlighted Husted’s legislative record and previous roles in state government as reasons for their support.

Jared Weiser, NFIB Ohio State Director, stated: “Jon Husted has been a true, long-time friend of small businesses in Ohio. At the Ohio Statehouse, he had a 100% NFIB voting record, and his work jumpstarted Ohio’s economic turnaround. As Secretary of State, he made Ohio the quickest and least costly state in the Midwest to start and maintain a business. We know Senator Husted will continue to be a champion for the small business community in the U.S. Senate and we are confident Ohioans will join us in supporting his re-election in November.”

Louis Bertolotti, Acting Political Director at NFIB, added: “Senator Husted has been a trusted small business advocate during his time in Congress. He has a strong pro-small business voting record, including his vote to make the 20% Small Business Deduction permanent and his advocacy to repeal the invasive Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) mandate on small business owners. We are confident he will continue to be a small business ally in the U.S. Senate, and we are pleased to endorse him today.”

The endorsement was issued by NFIB FedPAC, which is funded through voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their membership dues. Decisions regarding endorsements are made through a grassroots evaluation process managed by members.
