The Ohio Political Action Committee (PAC) Board began its work for the 2026 election cycle by meeting with several candidates running for office, according to a March 16 announcement. The meetings are designed to give PAC Board members the opportunity to ask policy questions and evaluate which candidates they may support or endorse.

The process is important because it helps ensure that small business interests are represented in government. The PAC Board is made up of small business owners from various industries across Ohio, who use these interviews to assess each candidate’s stance on issues affecting Main Street businesses.

“We are excited to begin the process of identifying new pro-small business candidates in Ohio that are committed to making a difference for Main Street,” said State Director Jared Weiser. “Small businesses need support at every level of government, and we look forward to continuing to meet with candidates who are dedicated to strengthening Ohio’s small business community.”

In the coming months, the PAC Board will continue interviewing more candidates and holding discussions focused on small business concerns. After all interviews have been completed, board members will vote on which candidates NFIB’s Ohio PAC will support and endorse.

Those interested in learning more about NFIB’s political process can contact Ohio State Director Jared Weiser for additional information.
