The Ohio Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy provides support to small businesses dealing with federal regulations. The office offers several services aimed at helping business owners navigate regulatory challenges.

The Interagency Affairs team consists of attorneys who work directly with federal agencies on regulations that impact small businesses. The Economic Research team includes economists who analyze how federal rules affect these businesses. In addition, the Regional Outreach team operates in 10 regions, serving as a link between local business owners and the SBA headquarters in Washington, D.C.

A new resource from the Office of Advocacy is the Red Tape Hotline. This service allows small business owners to report burdensome regulations by submitting a form at Hotline – Office of Advocacy, calling 800-827-5722 (option 3), or emailing redtape@sba.gov.

Business owners can find more information by reading the office’s recent blog post.
