Ohio University announced on April 10 that it will host ice cream socials across its Athens and regional campuses on Tuesday, April 21, to mark the end of the semester.

The event is intended as an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to gather together before the conclusion of classes. The gatherings are sponsored by the Office of the President.

On the Athens campus, the ice cream social will take place from 2-4 p.m. on College Green. Regional campus events will be held during the same hours at various locations: Bennett Hall Lobby at Chillicothe Campus; Shannon Hall Community Room at Eastern Campus; Brasee Hall Bobcat Bistro at Lancaster Campus; Collins Center Shafer Courtyard at Southern Campus; and Elson Hall Atrium at Zanesville Campus.

According to Ohio University, all members of its community are invited to attend these events and enjoy complimentary ice cream treats while spending time with one another.

The university said these socials provide a chance for connection among students, faculty, and staff as they celebrate another academic term coming to a close.
