Pickerington High School Central announced on Apr. 28 that its robotics teams, 6741A Anarchy and 6741R Redacted, achieved notable recognition at the VEX Robotics World Championship in St. Louis, Missouri.

The school highlighted that Team 6741A Anarchy, consisting of Nayan Adhikari, Ezekiel Creeger, Parker Krauss, and Rylee McKinney, won the Design Award—the highest judged honor within their division. The award is given for excellence in engineering design and documentation during a competition that brings together 865 top teams from around the world.

Teams at the championship are evaluated through interviews with judges, robot performance in skills challenges and head-to-head matches, as well as detailed engineering notebooks and innovative coding. Winning the Design Award places Team 6741A among leading groups globally for their approach to engineering design and overall performance.

Team 6741R Redacted also represented Pickerington High School Central strongly by earning a ninth seed in their divisional playoffs. This achievement placed them among the top 180 teams out of more than 11,400 worldwide participants. It was also noted as their second consecutive year advancing to this stage of competition. Owen Goates, Carson Paris, and Weston Kiner were recognized for contributing to this accomplishment.

These results represent a significant achievement for both teams and mark an important milestone for Pickerington Local School District’s robotics program.
