State Representative Monica Robb Blasdel hosted a group of local 4-H students at the Ohio Statehouse this week, according to a May 18 announcement.
The visit aimed to give the students from Robb Blasdel’s district an opportunity to learn about the legislative process and interact with state lawmakers. The delegation attended the House Agriculture Committee, listened to testimony on various bills, engaged with legislators, and observed a House session.
Participating students included Justin Bailey, Atlee Brinker, Aidan Frye, Caroline Moser, and Audrey Wilson. Robb Blasdel said, “Hosting these students at the Statehouse was a great opportunity to showcase Ohio’s legislative process and encourage civic engagement among our young people. It was wonderful to see their interest in agriculture and state government firsthand.”
Robb Blasdel represents the 79th House District, which covers much of Columbiana County and all of Carroll County. She has focused her public service on education, workforce development, regulatory reform and community involvement through work with organizations such as the Ohio Farm Bureau and Columbiana County Township Association according to the official website.
Robb Blasdel graduated from Crestview High School in Columbiana before earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron according to the official website.
